There he was responsible for the safe operation and management of a fleet of 11 aircraft in a demanding mountain environment. | | Chris's previous posts include Senior National Coach to the British Gliding Association. His responsibilities there included running the entire instructor training operation for the British Gliding Movement, supervising a nationwide network of examiners as well as providing advanced coaching to the increasingly successful British Junior Team. He also spent eleven years as Manager/Chief Instructor at Booker Gliding Club, at that time the most successful gliding operation in the UK. |
As well as being an experienced supervisor of flying, Chris is the UK's most experienced glider pilot as well as being an experienced powered aeroplane pilot. Chris is the current holder of the UK distance and altitude records for gliding (amongst other records) as well as having been British National Champion five times. |
